Somasundaram Nadesan QC (1904 - December 21 1986) was a prominent Sri Lankan lawyer and Senator. Appointed to the Senate of Ceylon at its conception in 1947 he was the only person to be in it from its conception until its abolition in 1972. Born in Jaffna he educated at the prestigious Royal College Colombo and thereafter at the University College Colombo and was called to bar in 1932.
