Johnson cut his musical teeth as a former member of Holopaw and Lilys and collaborated with Daedelus on his album Love To Make Music To(Ninjatune). In 2008 JesusWarhol Records released a digital 2-album set of Johnson's he recorded leading up to his 2004 debut Nonsense goes mudslide. In 2009 Ninjatune released his Ape School album through their rock imprint; Counter records.
